OWLS are the worst, but then afterwards you get to have the WHOLE SUMMER OFF and sleep for three days straight if you want to. And then afterwards: NO MORE POTIONS. Unless you want to keep doing it, in which case you get to drop some other horrible class that you hate. So all must even out!

I think a month before I took my OWLS, I slept a total of about 14 hours a week.

Thanks to tons of caffinated beverages of course.
