I didn't listen to them all, but for some reason I'm always so surprised when the vocals come into the song. I'm not a regular listener to this particular genre of music, but I could listen to instrumental symphonic metal for a long time without complaint :)

"Wild Chase" seems to have some Chinese Opera strains in the beginning haha don't you reckon? And maybe it was the quality of the recording but I wish the vocal harmonies weren't so much in the background...

I think that's the beauty of symphonic metal, the paradoxes of harsh guitar riffs and sweet vocals melding into a symphonic whole.

Yep, Wild Chase uses the gu qing and erhu. The HQ version is much better, trust me. :)
