Thoughts in the wee morn'

I have a lot to say, but not much that I want to reveal. I've also been a little disheartened because I haven't been receiving comments the way I used to get them. I'm fully aware that people have their own lives to focus on; I'm trying to develop one myself lately. But still . . . what is a writer's purpose if not to serve others with written ( Read more... )

I suppose that is one purpose of a writer. I would offer up that another purpose would be to write for one's self and not worry about the other people. At least i know that is why i write. I write for me, to express things that are inside of me that perhaps i want to remember or simply to vent out of my system. i rarely write with the idea that other's will comment or even read what i wrote. Many of my entries are locked so that no one can read them for they are ones that are truly written for me and me alone.

Do you really believe you are a source of discouraging participation?

What got you into BDSM? Do you feel that the things that brought you here are the things that keep you exploring? What do you hope to achieve with your exploration? Do you feel you are headed in the right direction?

that should get you started if you choose to answer and no worries if you don't :)

These are good questions, and yet they also feel broad to me, but maybe because my interests and explorations in BDSM are so broad, and my purposes can even change depending on the person or people I am working with, as with each play partner, the play and dynamic and goals can and will change.

Since "Henry" is such a significant person in my life right now, and also to my personal growth in BDSM, my sexuality, and my being as a whole, I might just start with him. Just have to see where I start and where I stumble off into. =)

Well, for what it's worth, I think a writer's purpose is to write, audience notwithstanding. If you have the urge to put words to page, does it matter if anyone reads? I am reading--but as my own LJ's echoing silence reveals, I'm not much for talking/writing these days. But I'm still reading you. :)

I'm glad to see that. Enthusiasm is better than depression, is it not. *smiles*

I hope everything is well with you. =)

I get frustrated too and wonder if I am doing this just for me but thats Ok too. It has ben an amazing source of healing for me as well as to create a community around me of like people. I found you by your group post. I think you would be surprised at how many take the time to read but don't answer, although I know thats frustrating.

I'm wondering which group post you found me in. I'm always curious. And a journal really needs to be for you, first and foremost.
