I lost my job. They fired me. It was for a really stupid reason too. I'm glad, though. I was slowly starting to dislike that place more and more. What sucks is that I can't lose my insurance or I run the risk of never being able to get it again. Everything about me is a pre-existing medical problem. I've had a few decent job offers, but they ( Read more... )

I am sorry. If there is anything I can do please don't hesitate to ask. And if I could pull a job with med benefits out of my pocket I certainly would. I'm sorry.

Thanks. Something will pull through eventually. I just don't have much time left to be patient, especially with my husband being out of work too.

I've put together a whole lot of VHS tapes that I'll probably never watch again. Hopefully I can get a few bucks from that.

Oh no! Sorry to hear all that! Good luck with the job search! I'm sure you'll find something soon! What kind of work are you thinking of? Have you put up a resume on Monster yet? I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll get something quick!
*hugs*

Thanks. I've got my resume up on all those sites and more. I've had a few phone calls already and I've gone on a couple interviews, but I'm having a hard time finding a place that will provide decent insurance if any at all. WTF?

i'm sorry, that really sucks. you should be able to continue your insurance through COBRA but it's more expensive.

also, if you haven't already, file for unemployment immediately. you can apply online. you are eligible even if you were fired. that will at least provide little bit of income while you look for a job.

Thanks. That was actually the first thing I did when I walked in the door. The second thing was file for free lunch at Liam's school and food stamps just in case it takes me a while to find a job. That process probably takes a while.

COBRA is just so expensive, but I don't have much choice at the moment. I'll be worse off if there is any gap in my coverage.

If you need anything at all, lemme know, won't you?
I'm really sorry that things are so tough right now :(
Again, if you need anything at all, don't hesitate :)
