Those are great! soaring_phoenix turned me on to your icons.
I took the first in the Cancer series - I will, of course, credit. I thought the red was an interesting color choice, but I like it. I also liked the sparkly one, but liked the first one better.
I really want to learn how to make animated icons. Is there a tutorial or something you can point me to? It looks like funnnn. (And I also have insomnia and reflux.) I'm sure I have the tools...too bad I lack a brain.
It is fun! I have mostly learned to do it by poking around in Macromedia Fireworks and getting the occasional tip from the Tanuki. I really need to graduate to PhotoShop now, though, so I'll be learning by experimentation all over again.

Yeah, I keep thinking about doing it. CW, could I hire you to put some rain on this, without putting it in the public domain like your other works? I made this base myself and it was harrrrrd. I don't want to release it into the wild, it's part of my personal suite. :)
Does the effect you used above only produce tiny stars? No hope of tiny slashes, as raindrops-in-motion?
Or Nettle, darling dear, have you learned how in the umm... 18 months since you posted?
