I carry a cell phone so I can be reached if I am not at home or in my office. It has voice mail so that if I am unable to answer, I can get a message as soon as I am able to. I'm sure these are among the same reasons given by most people for carrying a mobile phone ( Read more... )

haha.

yeah, i had a verizon plan for a while. i never got my damn voicemail notifications, my reception was awful, and the company was evil. so i switched over to sprint. i can hear everyone who calls me, i always get my messages, and.. well, i'm sure sprint is every bit as evil as verizon, really. but.. eh. i like 'em.

Our roommate has Sprint, and she has the "phone doesn't actually ever ring" problem here at the house. She, however, immediately gets her voice-mail chimes. Go figure.

They are all evil. All of them. :)

The last line cracked me up! I'm so crabby today, and that was absolutely perfect!! I do hope they get your phone issues remedied. I hate cell phone companies almost as much as I hate cell phones. I turn mine on about once every 3 months...but then again, I often don't want to be found.

I have to be able to be found. It's in the job description. On the other hand, it's a great excuse to drop off the face of the earth for an evening, "my phone wasn't working" LOL ...

We used to have Sprint. They suck ass. We use Ntelos now. Unlimited minutes... I don't have any of those problems.

yeah, it's a bummer but I just have to think to check my voicemail more often. Is Ntelos a local carrier? I am in MA.

When mine WORKS, it gives me date, time and callback # in the message text.
Blah ... ya, angry rodent time :)
