I Love Shiney Things

May 02, 2005 15:04

As one last birthday present, D had my bike detailed for me while it was at the shop for it's spring inspection/tires/once over.

All I can say is WOW!! It looks beautiful! There's nothing quite as nice as a polished ride!

Aside of my dream bike (the R6 in my icon), she's the only bike I can ever see myself owning.

My hubby is a motorcycle guy, and I was raised in the Fox Racing family, but I would NEVER guess that to be a 12 year old bike! Beautiful!

well, she not officially 12 yet. it's a 1994, so it was built in '93, but not released until '94. So she's 11 and going strong!!!

and we keep fox racing in business around here!

That is indeed a very gorgeous and very shiny bike. But how dare you complain about the whether with all that green on the ground and almost blue in the sky? Still working through mud and hail here this weekend.

The green on the ground and almost blue in the sky ? That was Sunday. On Monday, it poured, then got cold. Today it looks like the sun is out, but I haven't checked yet to see if yet more rain is coming, or what the temp range might be.

We get some really nice days, but they seldom last for more than a day.

Hpe you don't mind me posting saw your link fro the motorcycle community.
Aw I am jealous. I only have 125 virago 1998 same colour red but with black on the tank!
Wish my wheels were that clean. Some dog randomly pisses on it and its coroding :-( Your bike loks brand new!
Every year I say to myself I am going to get 535 and i haven't managed with money yet!

Thanks :)

I do my best to keep it in good shape. I see from your info you're in the UK, which is why you have the 125. They never released that here in the states, if there's a 125 here, it's an import. They did release the 250's, but that's the smallest you could buy.

I got this one when it was 2 years old, but it had only 46 miles on it. A guy bought one for each of his daughters, took them home, but they never rode them, so after 2 years, he sold them. Brand new condition bikes, much lower than brand new price tags. It's been a solidly reliable bike for me.

Alas, Virago's are no longer available here. I don't think Yamaha is making them anymore, in favor of the V-Star line.

Good luck saving up. (I'm saving for my dream bike too!), and ride safe!
