Update! I'm pretty sure this is grounds for something...

I think the movie was called "Rampage".

Uriel should watch it again with Uwe Boll's commentary on. I'm told that's a whole other level of entertainment right there because he's such a strange guy.

That said, what's the world coming to when every movie that Uwe Boll makes is not automatically the crappiest movie ever made? I'm sure this is a sign of the Apocalypse.

Well, it's because Lucas did Indiana Jones 4. That is the worst movie ever.

But seriously, Lucas had Jar-Jar Binks doom the galaxy to horrific tyranny. Sigh.

Did Uwe Boll do the 'House Of The Dead' movie?

Because that was awesome in it's badness.

Bonus: Very little actual house. You gotta admire that.

Isn't that the one about the guy that goes crazy and shoots up his entire town?

Yes, I've heard good stuff about it, sadly nobody seems to have it locally. Looks like Uwe can do good stuff when he's not ruining video games.

Rampage (2009). "Hmm," I thought to myself as I browsed, "an Uwe Boll movie that looks really exploitative, but in spite of these two big strikes, somehow I feel compelled to give it a try." It was not nearly as bad as I feared it might be. In brief, it was the portrait of a frustrated and homicidal young man who makes an elaborate plan to carry out a mass murder in his sleepy little town. His plan was actually pretty good and the outcome was not too implausible. The violence really is not funny and doesn't seem to be meant to be; the protagonist is really ruthless and pitiless, even to the point of killing his best friend and pinning the rampage on him. The background noise of the movie is a doom-and-gloom talk radio track and call-to-action internet videos produced by the aforementioned best friend; so I gather we are supposed to take away a sort of Bowling for Columbine message about the culture of fear and negativity. Its only real failure as a movie was in the repetitiveness of the background audio and some of the scenes ( ... )

Well, on reflection, Uwe Boll movies can't be completely unwatchable or he wouldn't be able to keep getting funding for his movies, can they? };)

Actually, for quite some time he was able to make money on his movies because of some German law that meant you got paid for doing films even when they were so awful literally no one would watch them. I'll have to check around for more details on it.

PS: Boll's antics and films finally got so bad that the German government gt rid of that law. Yes, specifically because of him.
