So for a reason unbeknown to me, I an having the laptop ripped from my possession. For how long I have no idea. This sucks.

I think in essence what she is doing is blackmail and it isn't fair on you. It really is not that easy to find a job sometimes. Taking away your laptop isn't going to help, in fact it will hinder your search. I am so sorry *huggles*
