Hi hi. I'm Kat. :D I think I've been meaning to ask to friend you since forever ago because I've been seeing you around quite a bit in some of my friends' journals and I think you're shiny and fun and amazing. Not to even mention that you're a shiny who lives in Beijing, one of my favorite cities ever since I lived in Shanghai when I was a kid and spent 99.9999999±.0000001% of my childhood wanting to choo-choo my way up there to visit the underground graves of all the emperors and empresses (dork, who, me~?).

So, um. Yes, point -- right. I'd like to friend you, if that's okay? ♥

askdbgsldkfbg do you know what, I totally kept your last comment to my comment on your fic because I was going to ask you exactly the same thing? I was going to, but then yesterday got very busy, so I didn't. HOWEVER, THAT IS THE LONG WAY OF SAYING: yes. yes absolutely and it sounds WONDERFUL and I want to hear about Shanghai from you sometime too! I have not actually been to the Ming Tombs yet, but I probably will at some point...

♥!

Hey :D I see you around a lot here, I love your fic (and haven't read nearly enough of it), AND I HAVE HEARD THAT YOU ARE GOING TO A CON NEXT MONTH so um - good enough reason for wanting to stalk you? :D?

Also, on a totally unrelated note, I have vague hopes to improve my Chinese by osmosis from you. Beijing, that's awesome. My Chinese is so fail it makes me ashamed, and I sort of need to take A levels next year /o\

OMFG YES. I AM GOING TO TOKYO DOME. I AM.... well let me just say I cannot watch Arashi concert footage these days without squealing like a little girl. So. That may be the extent of my ability to relay what I experience. ;)

and haha well I HOPE I BRING SOMETHING NEW. I fail at studying Chinese while I'm here and I'm a little more than self-conscious about speaking it on my LJ seeing as most people on my flist don't read it. HOWEVER maybe I will pepper a few more comments in Chinese here and there.

Omg, yes? My mind can't even wrap itself around the concept of seeing them LIVE, IN PERSON, ACTUALLY SEEING THEM - see what I mean? - and I'm not even the one going, lol whut. HAVE LOTS OF FUN AND PLEASE TELL US ALL ABOUT IT SO WE CAN LIVE VICARIOUSLY.

Yay for Chinese! I fail at being a native speaker, though my nativity ended about three generations ago. Being there I'm actually pretty sure yours is better than mine. :D I will try my best to read it!

It's... it's... yeah, I know. I know. I don't really comprehend it either. Like... in the flesh? I'm going to pass out when it actually happens. Like. From screaming. OH I WILL TELL ALL. ALL THAT I CAN REMEMBER!

haha that's what you'd think. ;) But yeah, my speaking is fairly good. Some days it's better than my English, but that's not saying much, what with the frequency with which I fail at my mother tongue. ;)

hey there =)

I got here through floweranza, I think, and saw you have fic and interesting stuff posted here (Japanese studying people FTW). So is it ok if I friend you?

I'm Charlotte, from the Netherlands (20, Snake, Capricorn, blood type still needs to be tested XD). Full-time student of Japanese, and brainwashed by a friend into Arashi fandom, and separately by another friend into KAT-TUN fandom. And then all was lost. I'm also going to Japan for a couple of months soon, will be studying in Kyoto and then travelling about.

yoroshiku onegaishimasu! =D

Absolutely okay! I'm always happy to find someone else who's into BOTH Arashi and KAT-TUN. They seem to be so mutually exclusive these days... :/

For my jikoshokai: I'm Alex, from Australia, living in China, 25, Rat, Virgo, blood type O! :D I work, but work is boring, and in my spare time I study Japanese, try to keep up with my Chinese, and generally muck about with the internet. Into Arashi and KAT-TUN, but my first love was Ikuta Toma and I'm currently giving all the sempai bands the once-over. I've been to Japan once, last month, to see Arashi at Tokyo Dome, and I want to go again!

Yoroshiku! :D

yey!

I know :\ but I think I just like the fail (and win) of both of them. XD. I've been into several asian boybands somehow, but most of them were Korean XD Then something happened at my study, me and some friends took up Real Face as our motto to keep going, and the summer after that I suddenly found myself also liking Arashi, and everybody went "wtf is wrong with you", which I thought was kind of funny really XD

I'm going to Japan from end of march till end of august, and I have no clue if Arashi even has concerts around that time, but I also don't think I'm able to afford going there, which all kinds of sucks. (you wouldn't be able to tell me if they have concerts then and how much it costs? =D )
how was the concert last month?? =O

I mean, sure. KAT-TUN and Arashi are polar opposites in terms of their band image, but there's SO much to love about both of them. Arashi, I get this warm and loving feeling from; KAT-TUN, I get this "let's try hard to make this work despite our differences" feeling. Both are valid, and interesting, and entertaining, so I don't see why everyone feels like they should be mutually exclusive.

I don't know if Arashi's got anything lined up, but the concert I went to was Y9000. That was a legitimately-bought fan club ticket that hit at the ballots. Others, I don't really know much about but I do know that unless you are super unlucky, nobody will really check your ticket. You just have to be prepared to live with the risk. ;)

The concert was brilliant! I wrote it up over here.

Lovely to get to meet you! Hope your journey back wasn't too bad and that you are in fine health. Your tolerance for long flights for such a short visit was widely admired.

Hadn't heard of "The Quiz Show 2" before, but it's the sort of thing that I am naturally attracted to and this description makes it sound interesting. I may have to investigate further!

It was lovely to meet you too! I did make it back in one piece, incredibly, and got lucky on the long flight home with three seats to myself for 11 hours. The flying part felt almost like a holiday in itself. ;) Now, in going around friending - do you use LJ or Dreamwidth more?

The Quiz Show 2 is great; I cannot recommend it enough. You can find all the episodes and fansubs for torrent download here. Other amazing Japanese dramas are Nobuta wo Produce and Kisarazu Cat's Eye (which doesn't have a torrent but I can find it some other way; which goes for the others too).

I'm a DW-y sort of person and have thingied you over there.

You are an enable-y enabler! I have downloaded Vuze onto this PC and have fired it up. Things are downloading at glacial speed; I need to figure out how I managed to crack the ports issue on the other PC, running a version of Windows that I more or less knew how to handle. Thank you very much for the link.

I am a terrible enabler! Or, you know, a really good one, depending on how you see things. And if joining a community and downloading from Megaupload is faster for you, jdramas is the place to be! You can find anything there, including TQS, Nobuta, and KCE. :D If you're looking for more, and not necessarily Japanese, rainscene does some amazing recaps that basically make you want to watch any crazy thing. ;) Recaps of my own can be found under the tag tv: jdrama, but if I had to choose from those I'd say Mr. Brain is also amazing to watch. A little like Psych, and Kimutaku (lead actor) is basically the best. Stand Up!! takes a little while to get into but it's a quality coming-of-age story.

ACK STOP ME NOW. Anyway. There are some great shows. Let me know how you like them!
