Kundera says "A person who longs to leave the place where he lives is an unhappy person." I want to leave this place to seek out newness but I think I am happy still. What about you?
a basically agree. it's just hard to feel content where you are when there are other places you would rather be. personally i love it in san diego, but i just can't stop wanting to be elsewhere.
I agree, i think if you are unhappy in a place that you have known as home, you will most likely be unhappy everywhere else. i always complain about it being too bright and too hot but to think of a place that is the complete polar opposite of this place sounds depressing. I think you have to take things as they are and find beauty in them, then you can achieve happiness. plus who wants to be the person who always dislikes their home, their job, their career, their etc. that sounds like a pessimist to me and we don't like those. no sir I think you want to explore not leave/run away/ flee this place
