I wanted to write this on my pay journal but of course its not working right now! Doh. What do I want to write about? I have been waiting and waiting for the longest time to hear back from a national honor fraternity in my area about a journal article I submitted to them back in the second week of feb. I FINALLY heard back from them tonight. I was ( Read more... )

Congrats for getting an article excepted! That's awesome news. And I think the 'minor revision' thing is pretty standard. People like critcising and correcting stuff 'cause it makes them feel important for picking up stuff you missed ;) Heh. I submitted an article about 2 months ago and I'm absolutely dying to know whether it was accepted or not. It's so hard to wait.

And the only plant I ever named was a 'China Doll'...I called it 'Ling Ping' for some reason. No idea why...but it was kinda fitting since it leaned to one side and therefore was 'limping' (Ling Ping if you say it fast!). Hmm...General Tso is so cute though!

Heh. I'm bad with plants. Since my description of a 'China Doll' was going to be something like "it is green and doesn't have flowers", I took the liberty of finding a (albeit, bad) picture of one.

And yeah 5 months would be torture to wait to hear back about an article. My supervisors keep nodding and going "mmm hmm. Yes, good article that. Will definately get published. Yep". Which is all very encouraging, but unfortunately it ain't up to them.

Cool plant. The picture was very helpful. Yea my prof was like you never know if it will get accepted or not. It depends on what everyone else sends in and who is reading them. Big help. But if your professors think it will get published than thats defintley a good sign.
