I almost came unglued when I heard that quote by that "Human Watch" or rights or whatever. It just INFURIATES me that these same people were dead SILENT when all those people were being beheaded!!!! It is only when the police or government turn the tables that they get all up in arms!
These same so-called human rights people talk a little out of both sides of their mouth, don't ya think? Where is the outrage over the Sudan or Ruwanda that's been going for 10 YEARS or so? How come the WHOLE WORLD is against Israel and nobody gets their panties in a wad over what is happening to them? People being slaughtered wholesale - but, yet, you let the authorities video somebody and THAT's the CRIME OF THE CENTURY???? Oh, Supe, some days I really do want to scream and just go and stick my head in the sand. I get so frustrated sometimes and just have to vent.
I know, I feel the same way. Sometimes I get so darn frustrated, because these people actually believe they're right.
I remember when they decided that Moussaoui should have a regular trial. I was so furious! A trial! Like he deserved benefit of the doubt! Then, he used that trial (and admitted as much)to advertise his hate of America and Fundamental Muslim views. All the hijackers used our kindness against us, and we wanted to afford them constitutional rights.
Rights!!! I wanted the hijackers to be alive so that I could kill them! The Left wanted us to understand why we were hated. The International Red Cross runs to Gitmo to minister care and attention to the BEARS, but you didn't see them trying to talk to the kinappers of Mr. Johnson in Saudia Arabia or the murders of Margaret Hassan.
I with you every step of the way. The good news is that I think those of us getting sick of the crap is beginning to outnumber the crappers. ;p
I sure hope so. I think much of my frustration is the fact that I feel so helpless to do anything about it. I don't want power or glory or anything like that, but I wish sometimes people would just use common sense and morality when it comes to things like this. Every day when I watch the news or read the internet, I spend half of my time swinging back and forth between out-right outrage and scratching my head in total confusion at what people think! I have never claimed to be the brightest crayon in the box, but I believe I have a LITTLE common sense
