I have the biggest problem in the world. I just finished Med school and that nagging feeling I had even before I started school remains with me: I don't want to be one...
When I really should be studying for the board exams, I've been daydreaming of career plans.
I'm going to totally disregard the notion of jinxes for now, and lay bare my daydreams to the world.
Top of my list is a master's degree in Public Health/International Health. Yes, it's the ultimate life-procrastinator's choice. I guess to put it bluntly, it's just putting my life on hold once more while I try to decide what I want to do with it. But I've always loved research and studying and stuff, so I thought going into health studies will be the best option for me. What, I have dreams of becoming a UN envoy of some sort, or working at WHO. :)
Another option is law school. I've always wanted to go to law school but just got really scared of it back in college. Aren't lawyers too intimidating? But I've been seriously thinking about it since... last week? lolol
Last week, I shared my law school dreams with one of my classmates. He got excited over the idea and seriously started considering it, too, which got us both all hyped out and noisy in the library.
He added a new dimension to the law school plan: residency in Dermatology. Since the Dermatology programs in some hospitals do not require going on duty for 24 hours, thus making it a "day job", it fits with the law school evening classes.
We could already see it, around seven years from now. Being introduced as "medico-legals," we'd be correcting them: "Um, actually? We're derma-lawyers." lolol. I just love how it's Legally Blonde taken to a whole new level. :)))
And just to demonstrate how hyped up we both were, we already have a tagline: Him-Me & Associates: Where beauty is legal. ♥
We can just see us already sinking a famous derma-celebrity. ;)
Okay, yeah, just me getting ahead of August. I need to pass the boards first. :|
