We are showing "Boogie Nights" at Wealthy Theatre, where I work and this reminded me that the last time I saw that movie was at a local theater called "Showcase Cinema."  That memory in turn made me think about livejournal cuz that theater existed during the myspace/livejournal era and was demolished in 2003

People still use LJ in the UK, and I use it primarily as a private journal, and to d/l tv and movies from.

I miss the Quad and Alpine more than Showcase. And Studio, the artwork at Showcase always cracked me up tho!

I'm member of a couple photo-posting groups on here that are still pretty active, as well as the Venture Brothers fan group but other than that, yeah pretty dead.

Maybe somewhere in the world, friendster is still popular.
