*Beast Boy has spent most of the day showering, going through fifty possible outfits before settling on a pink Hawai'ian shirt a plain white shirt and black trousers, then styling and restyling his hair and practising what he was going to say in front of his mirror ( Read more... )

Had she been expecting this? Well, yes. It would be a lie to say she hadn't. So she was dressed in her best (and only) pink dress. It was sleeveless, so it took a great deal of courage for her even to wear it at all, but hopefully Beast Boy would appreciate the trouble she'd gone to.

If it even were Beast Boy at the door.

Thank god it was. She answered the knocking and sighed in relief when she saw his familiar face. She made no effort to cover her arms up, though it looked like she wanted to, when she greeted him with a quiet smile.

*Somewhere in the back of his brain, part of Beast Boy's mind makes a note to pick up a jacket for later, so he can do that romantic movie cliche of offering it to Terra if she gets cold. Also, there are ninja monkeys and robot sharks involved, but that part of his thought processes is irrelevant!*

Uh, um, hi Tara. You look wonderful *he smiles and looks her in the face, as if that were the most important thing in the world to him right now. Then he flails just a little bit and holds out a bouquet of roses and a box of chocolates, blushing.* Um, these are for you. Happy, um, Happy Valentine's Day.

"Garfield..." Her face pretty much melts into that "oh my god so sweet" look. She doesn't even go for the flowers or chocolate at first, instead opting to go in straight for the hug, her arms around his shoulders and her lips on his cheek.

"Happy Valentine's Day," she says, pulling back and finally taking the roses and chocolate for herself. "I love you." And she says it without a twinge of guilt, because it's absolute truth. And maybe later she would show him just how true it was.

*:O Yay hug! He can't really hug back without risking dropping everything, but from the increased blush and huge dopey grin it's obvious he would have done if he could.*

I love you too. And um, I was wondering, if maybe you'd, uh, like to go see a movie with me? *He reaches into his pocket and pulls out two tickets to Music And Lyrics. :3?*
