(no subject)
Friday-
I was sick. I went to school and bought a water at the pancake breakfast for DI, then I cried with Naomi. I hate being sick. The doctor's can't find anything wrong with me. Well anyway, school wasn't as great as usual but Bujji shadowed Amy and Brooke cheered me up. After school, we changed into our "comfy clothes" and sat in our groups. My group was Mrs. Ewing, Amy, Robin, Brooke, Arica, Alena, Kayla, and Hailee. So, we got on the buses and headed off. During the 9-hour trip, we talked, ate, watched Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and 10 Things I Hate About You, read magazines, slept, etc..We got into NYC around 12:15
Saturday-
Got to the hotel, went in and slept. The hotel rooms were shit. Ours had a hole in the ceiling and in the sheets and blankets, water damage all over the ceiling, and some leaky pipes in the bathroom. Kayla, Robin, Arica, and I shared a room. We woke up and showered between 6 and 7 and ate breakfast at the Pigalle Restaurant around 8. All the food was really gross except for the french toast. A glass of orange juice was 4 dollars and a stack of pancakes and fruit was 10. Then we took a tour of Central Park, St. John's Cathedral, Harlem, CHinatown, Little Italy, Greenwish Village, SoHo, plus some other places along the way. We took pictures with the statues in Central Park and went shopping and had lunch at Joe's Pizza in Greenwich Village. You're not allowed to feed the pigeons in New York (but we did it anyway) Then we went back to the hotel to change. I wore my black strapless dress with the purple flowery thing on it. Then we had dinner at Dallas BBQ. Not very enjoyable..but we "pondered" a lot. Then we went to go see Phantom of the Opera at the Majestic Theatre. It was okay. except for the guy beside me..Hailee got sick when we went back to the hotel around 11. I made her a card and gave her some crackers to settle her stomach. We stayed up and watched TV and talked for a couple hours then went to bed.
Sunday-
They gave us our wake up call a half an hour late. So, I didn't get to shower but Brooke made my hair decent. Then we had breakfast at Planet Hollywood. It was really good and we took pictures and headed to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I went with Robin, Kayla, Amy, Brooke, and Hailee. We walked around, took pictures, lost hailee, talked on our cameraphones, and gave Pat a nickname..We had some freetime to eat watermelon and get some water and walk around. Then we went to see the Lion King. It was amazing. I started to cry when I heard big Nala sing. I really liked it. Then after that we had Dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, where I had a heart to heart and got kind of mad at two of my friends that were still in Maine because of something they said about me. Im not gonna go into details. Then we took a night tour of the city we saw times, suare, rockefeller center, bryant ark, and grand central station. Fooled around by the fountain and did back bends with laura and "pondered" some more. Then we played gold fish and bullshit at the hotel and went with nate to get some water and tic tacs and whipped cream. we stayed up late becuase robin was drunk and room raiders was on.
Monday-
We packed and ate breakfast at Pigalle again. French toast. Then we finished packing adn ther shower caps filled with water up to the floor above us. John malloy caught them all..and we cleaned the windows so that you couldnt see the shampoo or whipped cream anymore had our rooms checked, got some water, and left the hotel. We waited to be on the Today Show, but they didn't put the camera on us directly. Disappointed people (Oregon ducks trapped in Maine) We went to Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral on a tour. then we took the Radio City Music Hall Grand Tour and saw where the MTV awards are and met a rockette...then Hailee ran into a sign while trying to take a picture of a naked statue on a wall. then we ate lunch at the variety cafe and wen shopping. I was with Hailee, Brooke, and Ilka. We finally found our way to H and M then Hailee and I went to Sharper Image for full body massages :) and headed back for ben and jerrys. Then we went to the American Museum of Natural History, where brooke and I went from shop to shop and bought random things like t-shirts we painted ourselves. then we went to confetti pasta and met hailees parents. Made weird sounds to scare the other tourists and started speaking spanish. Last, but not least, we went to the Empire State Building. i loved it. we were kind of rushed though because we had to leave. It was a 9-hour ride again, and i sat with brooke. we watched Fly away home and Shrek. we painted our t-shirts and played witht this dolphin thing, then we slept and talked.
Today-
we got back around 5. my dad didnt get my message and came at 5:30, but thats okay. I came home, and was surprised to see my recliner that came yesterday. me gusta. its really comfortable but not quite as nice as my dads is. but i like it a lot. then i went to bed for a while and got up, wrote an entry ate some cereal, unpacked, and took a shower. oh and my souvenirs:: a I <3 NY t-shirt, a rose center shirt, a new york city sweatshirt, two pairs of cubic zirconia earrings, a caricature of kristen and I, a dolphin silver foil painting thing, and some pins and tickets and playbills.
