Here is the link to the petition site where you can search and find a petition to stop the slaughter of helpless Alaskan wolves and many other good causes.

Wolves are an endangered species and not only that an interesting, beautiful, shy, endangered species, I only ask that people do something to help protect them.

I'd also encourage people to write to the governor of Alaska and anyone else they can think of. Preferably with better thought out arguments that "this is really bad, you poo-poo head".

I would correct you on one thing (though this shouldn't stop people fighting this act).
The wolves of Alaska are not endangered. On a more general basis, wolves are indeed endangered, but Alaskan Grey Wolves are not - yet.

At the moment the wolves of Alaska are not on the endangered list, as they have quiet a large stable population. I said that wolves (general wolves, not really pointing out specific species) are endangered, and generally they are. This shows how easy it is to make them that way.

The Alaskan wolves are not endangered, but it would be so easy to make that happen, so when we have something to treasure such as a large, healthy, stable population we shouldn't threaten that because at the moment they are stable. It should be our job to keep it that way not to turn it into the rescue mission we have in so many other places!

I wasn't going to put a huge rant up (someone else had already done that for me ;) ) but as you mentioned it I have extended that argument here, to add more meaning to my words.
