Life Update...

so, life has been exciting recently...

-I had a master class with Kurt Elling last Thursday. Oh. My. Gawd.

-I got to practice my Italian this morning with my cab driver, who was from Eritrea (an ex-Italian colony), and lived in Milan for a year. Very interesting conversation...

-I was here at work at 6:20 am this morning. Ugh

Also, Laurence Hobgood is a god... He gave a short lecture on how 'Giant Steps' is actually really easy... Lordy...

Girl! I am so jealous! I had a scat workshop with Kurt 2 years ago and it was amazing!!!! but a Masters class??? I am sooo sad I couldn't be there! boo to that!

That man is beyond words. He finished the class by doing Embraceable You... I just can't describe it... Quite frankly, it made want to have his babies. (Eli, if you're reading this, I'm joking. Sort of.)
