I had an awesome time in Melbourne.  The first and only time I had been there previously I spent most of my days in St Kilda, drinking beer and eating fush'n'chips on the beach, watching the roller bladers scuttle past.  This time round it wasn't summer so I only stopped by St Kilda briefly, and spent most of my time ambling around the inner city,

the italian part is the best, around lygon st - best sweet shop IN THE WORLD and amazing gelati shop, its right over from brunswick. dang i miss melby. all my melby friends are heading hoem this week i'm a bit sat i wonder if i can fit in a suitcase...

Didn't make it to Lygon Street but did have a wander round Degraves St and found amazing cupcake shop. Why hasn't anyone opened one in Auckland yet??

I got such a shock seeing her with all her hair lopped off. Let her know now when you're coming as Kerry and Ben are planning to be in south east asia around that time of year.

Live music in NZ or in Melbourne? The Breeders are playing Kings Arms in August. Kim Deal and her bass! Yay! In Melbourne the Espy (Esplanade) is as iconic as the Kings Arms so you may want to go there.
