I find it ironic that there is a giant monster stomping Manhattan, along with the invasion of its mutant crab children, and I am incapable of leaving my room because of a common flu. But I suppose that's what I get for neglecting my sleep in order to study poisons and animal anatomy ( Read more... )

You see one giant monster...well, I was going to say you've seen them all, and that's simply not true. The novelty does wear off, though. Maybe.

Please tell me there's no form of hazing the new arrivals.

Yes, it becomes rather ordinary. The question of "am I going to survive another day?" never gets old, however.

Pardon?

That's always a worry. Though for me, I'd hope it has really worn off by now. You never know how you're going to feel, though

It was my attempt at a joke. Not a very good one, I guess. I think I'm running on negative good funny vibes. Sorry about that.

So you aren't worried about being crushed to death by what appears to be a giant reptile?

I see. There is no need to apologize, I never had a fine sense of humor to begin with.

As long as our water keeps running we should be set...though I hear the supply centers are filling every container they can find in case the taps ever go dry. As for food, it's already being rationed, and as long as we consume it carefully it'll last at least a year, likely longer. It's a very big city, after all, with food supplies that were meant to feed millions. Even if all the perishables are rotted by now.

I see. Do you think that starting to grow our own food would be a plausible idea? I'm not aware of how many natural resources we have to begin with, because I haven't explored this place that much, but I'm sure that we could at least work on something.
