oh my goodness.. i completely understand what you are talking about. when you start something and everyone(or even just one person) follows. i guess you're right with calling it being a trendsetter. but when other people claim it as their own it's just makes you wanna scream and tell them "go find your own thing to start!!" it's just really annoying but i don't think they aren't trying to put you down or maybe they didn't mean to come off as being the one who started something. you could always view it as flattery (i try sometimes). they look up to you and want to be like you...

if it counts for anything, i think you are awesome and very original and i love you!

meh, i had an lj back from '01 (/~commandersporky) waaaay back when i was into web designing. thats beside the point. but yeah, i got an LJ so i could read your entries, lauren's and dianas too.
i dont really know understand how people can steal music, seeing as the stealer OR the stealee doesn't make the music themselves, but merely just listens to it. just take all this stealingness as a compliment i guess? dont sweat the petty stuff and dont pet the sweaty stuff. :P gross.
