Oh it's more than okay to cry for friends. I'm a very emotional person, so I tear up at a lot of things. I don't know where I'd be without my mother either. I bawled when my Grandpa passed away last March, and I barely knew him or recall ever having a real conversation with him.. but still -- you can't help but feel like shit when someone's life is over :(

Thank you sweetie!! Aww, i'm sorry to hear about your Grandfather!! I hardly knew my Grandpa on my mom's side when he passed away. I never even got the chance to meet my Grandma b/c she passed away when my mom was 7. It hurts knowing that i'm so close to my dad's parent's, but I never got the chance to w/my mom's! I'm thankful having at least one set though at least, ya know?!

Oh God, yes it's a horrible feeling when someone's life is over! Even if you didn't know them! It makes me think of much they had going for them & how they most likely never even saw their day coming. Really sad. =/

Aww be glad you're close to at least ONE set of grandparents! My grandparent's on my Mom's side both died before I got the chance I got to see them much. They lived in Utah and I only saw them ONCE, when I was like 3. As for my Dad's side, my Grandpa's gone and my Grandma is still doing good, so I try to talk to her as much as I can -- although it's hard when she mostly speaks Italian.. lol
