As Firefly/Serenity fans know, Simon gave up everything to save River. What if, instead of rejoining the crew after the dustup in Fanty and Mingo's place, he and River took off on their own... but Simon got tired of always giving, and decided to do some taking, despite River's fragile mental state and her potential for violent destruction? He's got a code word to put her down any time he needs to, after all....

I'm thinking a move from hurt/comfort to a bad pimp/hooker relationship
with added complications from having to steer clear of the Hands of Blue and/or the Operative. Not very specific, but there it is.

You know, I was originally telling people to post their ideas for the challenge to the community, but commenting here makes so much more sense :D and it saves me loads of trouble in the future for rounding them all up. They're all in one place!

Lol that was totally enough space. And that is a wonderfully dark idea.

Ha, I'm glad that my mistake ended up being a good thing! :)

Oh, good. I mean, I like dark, and Simon/River is something that can be explored in many, many ways. Hopefully someone will give it a whirl!

It totally did! I'm new to the whole running a community thing, so I'm truly figuring it out as I go along lol.

I love dark, and I agree, they can be explored in so many ways.

I'm going to have to look into the Sailor Moon fandom at some point. It sounds like loads of fun.

Well, I am off work tomorrow, and I don't have much going on. Venturing into a new fandom sounds like a good idea to me. If you get some free time, want to send some of the gems you've discovered my way to save me some searching?

What would Red John do to Lisbon if he took her like he did Kristina Frye? Would he put her in a similar state, or come up with something far worse. I had this whole idea one time where he took her to slowly break her. Extra motivation for Jane to keep playing the game since he'd keep her alive, but she might not be the same if they ever do save her from Red John's clutches. Don't care how dark this is, just hope someone writes it!
