How much do we trust?

During the Exodus, God makes it clear to the Israelites that "It will come to pass when [they] come to the land which the LORD will give [them], just as He promised..." (Ex. 12:25) that they will continue to keep the Passover in remembrance of their deliverence.  Yes, the LORD will protect them, however, there seems to be some conditions:
