So I went to see David On Good Morning America And I wrote a ridk long recap so I bolded the important band stuff and theres a couple of pics behinds the cut I apologize for me looking crapie it was a long morning.
So after reading on D-C.org that its not really first-come, first-served basis, like the ABC website said. because you can request tickets for certain date which i didn't know. i got nervous cause apparently when daughtry performed a couple of years ago they only let in VIPs and ticket holder. So instead of getting there around 430 like I originally planed I took a early train that got me there by 3. I dragged my friend Randy along cause I am slowly converting him in to a DC fan by enticing him to watch thing by getting him to love kyle, He just loves boys with tight pants and long hair. So anyway we got there and there were like 10 or 12 women from D-C.org. So I was happy there weren't a ton of people there yet so basically we just stood outside and watched the techies set up all the instruments like Andy's red keyboard which I love and Kyle's sparkly silver drums.
When they were done set up Kyle in his bed head glory came out to sound check the drums for awhile. What amazed me was how little alot of the people on line know about the band. I was talking to a couple of people and they vaguely new who Neal and Andy were and I had to tell them about Kyle and Joey. I don't know I am so obsessed with the band as a whole its weird for me to think people can be such big David cook fans and not learn everything there is to know about him which includes the band. There ends my lecture don't take any afence if you don't know everything there is to know about the Ultimate Band of Hotness I just want the boys to get equal love.
Soo then the entire Band came out for sound check and David of course made some goofy smile at the windows where every one basically forgot the line for a moment and were trying to squeeze into the good window to get pictures, they played a little light on and people were pressing there ears to the glass to hear.
After they left when it was around six I think, the audience coordinator come out and split the line into people with tickets and people without and explained that all the tkts people would get in then they would try and get us nice people that had been here since 3 in the morning in so we were basically on the sidewalk next to curb praying and trying to count home many tkt people there were cause someone heard they only take 80 and someone hears 150. It was nerve racking after waiting so long in the cold. But in the end we got in and we ended up standing like right next to the stage directly infront of Andy's keyboard.
They didn't let anyone stand directly in front of the stage because of cameras so people kinda just lined the sides of the studio. Me Randy a mother and daughter, Randy and I had meet were in the back so we knealed on the window ledge on top of peoples coats but who cares about there coats as long as I had a unobstructed view of the UBoH. I would have loved to be on Neal's side of the stage cause I love him but that side had some little girls with signs and I would have been super pissed if they got in my way.
So on with the show they boys came out again and tested instrument again and David got a shock from the mic poor baby. The Band then played a bit of heroes for background music for the show when they stopped I yelled "Neal you rock" and he looked up and smiled :sigh: I waved back. While David went to do the thing with Colbert the boys just kinda chilled on the stage. Kyle was too cute he pulled his knees up and just lean his head on them behind the drums he was like cute ball of drummer. I was happy to be near Andy cause watching him on TV he seemed reserved but today he wasn't weighted down my the leather coat (not that its not hot) but he just seem like old Andy I have seen in gig videos from LA, he even smiled for people taken picture in front of me. They played part of Mr. Sensitive I think (I am spoiler free on the album) for another commercial bumper thing.
After some other interview thing Diane came and interview David and performed Light On which is the part everyone saw. After they ended David took pictures with that family of multiples that was on the show then moved along the my side of the crowed he was OMG up close and there were so many people competing for his attention just looking at him was good enough for me. David took a pic with the mother I made friends with of course with some crazy goofy face. Andy was the first of the band to come down to us he took pictures with people and was very cute I couldn't get down of my ledge so I reached over people and asked him to sign a note pad and as an after thought asked him to get Neal's he was so nice and took my pad and went across the and got Neal to sign plus he got Kyle and Joey too which was awesome of him. By then Neal and Kyle worked there way over to us OMFG NEAL up close :Squeee: the ladies in front of me asked him about his tattoos and where he got them which I already know because of myspace stalking but he was so cute he like looked up and squinted to remember the exact address of fat cat tattoo parlor in Tulsa.
At this point I was cursing my broken camera, so I asked the mother i made friends with if she would take my picture with Neal and email them to me she agreed and I asked Neal for a picture and squeezed threw people and put my arm around his back ( ahhhh i touched him) and of course the mother was like hold on cause she had to figure out the camera, in my head i was like "take as long as you want I could stand here forever). Kyle was close to us so Randy love him so I wanted to get a pic of the three of us so when he was clear we came over and I was like " we love your hair" and randy was like "its a amazing" and Kyle said something to like i like your too, which randy was ecstatic about and then we took a pick. By then they were about to start kicking people out so we were satisfied so we got our stuff and were leaving and I passed Neal and I think I just was like " Neal I love you " and then we left.
This was like the best day ever soo worth getting up at at 1 and waiting in the cold since 3.
