We have a flat!We are really lucky as the first one we viewed was the one for us. It's reasonably priced, includes all furniture (even though it was advertised as unfurnished) and includes electricity and gas. I forgot how stressful moving is though and how many forms you have to fill in etc. It's hard because Samir is snowed under with University

Congratulations on getting the flat, that's great news. Definitely remember that you have plenty of time to get things sorted. I know that's hard because moving is stressful and there is so many things to sort but it'll only be harder if you get too worked up about things! Set yourself a few things to get done at a time instead :)

I'm sorry to hear about your dad, it definitely puts things into perspective. I hope that they're able to get things sorted soon as I'm sure he's not very comfortable at the moment.

They were so scrummy but left us all in a complete sugar coma!

Thank you - I am so excited to move in. My reference form got confirmed and Samir got his done in time too (after a few disasters with the online form crashing etc). I've written a massive to do list and am just going to slowly work through it as I know I have lots of time to do it all.
