Don't put words in my mouth. You're free to believe me or disbelieve me if you want, but I'm only forced to lie so much about myself and take on a human cover story because if I didn't, fanatical humans would try to burn me at the stake or something. No thanks.

Besides, come on, the Devourer of Souls, really? What I'd like to know is how I'm supposed to go about devouring all these souls and why I'm even supposed to want them in the first place. I mean, what am I supposed to be hypothetically doing with them all once I've got them?

Does that happen a lot with aliens and stuff on your world or something? And well, I suppose that technically you could say that Heaven and Hell are different planets when it comes down to it. They're certainly not connected to Earth in any way other than Waywalking for starters, and Hell's got its own sun that's not anything like Earth's.

Well, I'm not saying that I'm perfect or anything, but I'm not out for world domination or damning humans to eternal suffering or anything like that either. Sadly, people getting a reputation they don't deserve seems to happen a lot more than it ought to.

As real as you or me, yeah, and a Waywalker like me to boot. Looks a bit like a guinea pig, to be honest with you. A permanently surprised one that likes books.

Just a bit.

Wise, for the most part, but since he's a son of Wisdom you'd expect that. He has a bit of a thing for books and his trains of thought tend to meander a bit, not to mention he bears a bit of a resemblance to a guinea pig, but he's a decent sort. Never been interested in trying to gain more power or get involved in any of my family's mad schemes, and I'll always call him a friend for that.
