I got a bill from the pathology department of the hospital for 161.00 in June. I was like, "I'm not paying that much. Shouldn't insurance have covered this?" I put it on the back burner--we moved, my sister came into town, blah, blah. I got a statement from Healthnet just this week saying that they are not paying the 161 because the pathology

this is not exactly the same but I did receive a crazy bill from Lawrence in March for treatment I received in August. Last I knew the insurer and the hospital were fighting it out.

clearly, you are not responsible for the billing at the hospital. We're only talking about a month or two difference.

I think C.K. is right that you should start with your insurer. As long as you paid your co-pay when you were at the hospital, this realy shouldn't turn into too much of an issue.

I'm sorry for your stress though.
