Jill and I actually did this one at the same time. This is how sad we are.
1. Pick one dozen movies that are ones that you have special feelings about.
2. Pick a few lines of dialogue that mean something to you.
3. As people guess the film, strike out that entry.
4. If possible, after the film is guessed, explain why that movie made the list.
1.) I'm a superstitious man, and if some unlucky accident should befall [...] - if he is to be shot in the head by a police officer, or be found hung dead in a jail cell... or if he should be struck by a bolt of lightning - then I'm going to blame some of the people in this room; and then I do not forgive. But with said, I pledge - on the souls of my grandchildren - that I will not be the one to break the peace that we have made today.
The Godfather - Um...men would pay a lot of money for that information...
2.)So, my little [...], you don't have bones of glass. You can take life's knocks. If you let this chance pass, eventually, your heart will become as dry and brittle as my skeleton. So, go to him, dammit.
Amelie - We watched this movie at the very last P/I/M night and it really effected me. THe man character reminds me a lot of me.
3.)It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing and there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. And this bag was, like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and... this incredibly benevolent force, that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember... and I need to remember... Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in.
4.)
[character 1]: Oh, no. No, it isn't true. It's just no use. I can't believe. Not anymore. There's nothing left to believe in. Nothing.
[character 2]: That's not true, dear.
[character 1]: Yes it is...
[character 2]: Nonsense, child. If you'd lost all your dreams, I couldn't be here. And here I am.
Cinderella - Always been my favourite story. Always will be. You just can't forget something that's that much a part of your childhood.
5.)Late at night my mind would come alive with voices and stories, friends as dear to me as any in the real world. I gave myself up to them, longing for transformation.
Little Women - Combine those four girls and you have my four personalities. Creepy, eh?
.) You're 18, you don't know what you want. And you won't know what you want 'til you're 45, and even if you get it, you'll be too old to use it.
10 Things I Hate About You - To undertand my love for this movie you'd have to be either Annie, Cassie, or someone who evesdropped on us in A.P. Gov.
7.)Excrement! That's what I think of Mr. J. Evans Pritchard! We're not lighting a pipe! We're talking about poetry. How can you describe poetry like American Bandstand? "I like Byron, I give him a 42 but I can't dance to it!"
Dead Poets Society - One of my top movies. Cheesy...maybe, but oh well. Close to home in many ways, I guess. Carpe Diem.
8.) Most men, they'll tell you a story straight true. It won't be complicated, but it won't be interesting either.
Big Fish - Sheer Brilliance, and Ewan McGreggor doesn't hurt.
9.) [character 1]: [character 2], you are the best friend a guy with twenty diagnosed neuroses ever had.
[character 2]: Oh, we've been friends a long time... I knew you when you only had twelve.
Down With Love - Yes, love is biologically equivalent to eating large quantities of chocolate fudge. I like the world that way.
10.) Evil is a point of view. God kills indiscriminately and so shall we. For no creatures under God are as we are, none so like him as ourselves.
Interview With a Vampire - I have no idea why I like this movie, but everytime it's on TNT or any of those other channels that show movies a lot, I watch it.
11.) Well that was bloody Shakespearian. Do you know who Shakespeare is? He wrote the King James bible.
Gangs of New York - Okay, so it is a bit gory, but in a really plot driven way. Gory+plot = great movie.
12.) It ain't what they say, its what we say, and nobody ain't gonna listen to us unless we make em!
Newsies - ^_^

from The Career Guide for Creative and Unconventional People:
"A life of rigorous discipline and unending hardship can be unnecessarily bleak and even counterproductive."
One would think that would be obvious.
-Well, nothing else interesting to report. Good Meeting with Career Couselor caused me to be in possession of the above book. There is a large Caffiene molecule on the door to our dorm room. I have to buy at lot of painting supplies for TH 230. Yeah, see why I'm reduced to the above?
