I really want rochester, but hey, I'd settle for wareham, but NOoOoOo... no one is renting their darned houses out- they should- they should rent a darn apt and rent their HUGE house out so I can pay for their ( Read more... )

I understand this blog and the one above it! Rent is very expensive. We're paying $1250 and that's rent, cable and internet...We think electric might be in there too, because we've been here for about 3 months and haven't received a bill. The house is really old, and the wiring must've been made for a one family home, instead of a two family. But even out in Amherst, we paid $1200, everything was included and we had a pool and a playground on the grounds...The closer you get to Boston or the Cape, the more expensive it gets. Oh, the sad truth! My dad says in TN we could purchase a house, plus over an acre of land for how much we'd pay to buy a house here. But Liz, Wareham? Good God, why would you want to move back there? It's turning into a craphole! Maybe it's just me, but when I left I vowed that I would never ever go back!

yeah, I found out how bad wareham has gotten recently. I'd much ratehr Rochester, but they have NO rentals, it's too rich for that, eventhough people call em hicks, they have more money than I'll ever have. In Maine, I've found houses for UNDER 100k. I found one in northern maine, a little beyond bangor, for 95K. It was a four br! I've found another one on 3 acres of land 3 br, 2 baths, finished basement with laundry rooma nd mud room for 195K!!!! Its rediculous. If I could, I'd be there, but right now, we dont' have the $ to move, or we would have been gone a few months ago.
