Summary: Heechul wants to bake Hangeng a cake for his birthday.
~
Three years, it’s been three years since I last celebrated my birthday with them. My brothers and the one person I love most in this world. The party that year was huge and no one knew why we went so big on the party. But in the end we were all happy since it turned out to be my last one. Though I think what I remember most from that birthday was before the party.

"Yah. Hangeng, when are you done with schedules today?" Heechul asked as he walked into the kitchen.
"Uhh, I think around twelve or one. Why?"
"You’ll beat me back. Okay, see you later." Heechul turned around and walked right back out of the kitchen and the dorm. Hangeng stared blankly at the door before shrugging his hyung’s actions off and finishing his breakfast. Not too long after Heechul, Hangeng left for his only schedule of the day. Throughout his practice he received various birthday wishes from everyone he ran into. He even got off early and manager hyung treated him to lunch. Once he was home, he decided to lay down on the couch and relax while reading a book, since no one else was home.
"Good, you’re out here. Don’t come into the kitchen." Heechul said standing in the doorway with a bag hidden behind his back. Hangeng sat up and looked over at the clock, not realizing that it was already two in the afternoon.
"Why? What are you going to do?" He asked nervously.
"I’m going to bake you a cake." Heechul held up the bag with the cake mix, frosting and various other groceries.
"But you’ve said it yourself, you don’t know how to cook."
"Well baking is different."
"Fine. Do you know how to bake?"
"Uhhh…well…no."
"So how are you going to bake me a cake?"
"Well I guess you’ll just have to teach me how to make your cake." Hangeng just stared down at his grinning hyung before sighing and taking the groceries into the kitchen.
"Okay, start by grabbing out a large bowl. One of the bowls in the cabinet next to the fridge, the lower one not the upper cabinets." Heechul went and grabbed said bowl and took it over to where Hangeng set everything else down. "Next we need the vegetable oil, eggs, water and the measuring cup."
"Wait why am I grabbing all of this?" Heechul asked with all the items in his hands.
"Because you’re the one making the cake, not me."
"You know when I said you’ll have to teach me, I meant you would make it and I would watch."
"Yeah I know, but this is more fun. Besides, it is my birthday." Heechul rolled his eyes but continued to follow Hangeng’s instructions. "Hey, be careful, start the mixer on slow not…" Heechul switched the mixer straight to the highest setting before the younger could finish his sentence. The mixture instantly blew up on the older and a little on Hangeng. The Chinese man quickly turned off the mixer and looked over at the older. He couldn’t hold back his laugh as he saw his hyung covered in cake mix. Heechul glared at the taller man as he laughed and then licked some of the batter off his face. Hangeng wrapped his arms around the older’s waist. "I think it needs to be mixed more." He teased.
"Shut up. And don’t just lick my face."
"But I wanted to try some of the cake you attempted to make." Heechul elbowed the younger off of him and glared even more intensely. "Alright, go clean up. Ryeowook should have an extra cake mix somewhere. I’ll clean up here and make that and then you can decorate it when it’s done."
"Okay, have fun." Heechul immediately brightened up at the thought of getting all of the cake batter off him and especially out of his hair. He gave the birthday boy a quick kiss and rushed out of the kitchen. Hangeng sighed but started cleaning up the mess and making a new cake. He found Heechul sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Hey. Better now?"
"Much. You know I really did want to make you that cake." Heechul curled up next to Hangeng and the later enveloped him in a hug and placed a kiss on the top of his head.
"It’s alright. There will always be more birthdays, so you’ll have time to practice."
"I know." The two stayed like that until Hangeng had to pull the cake out of the oven. Once it cooled Heechul kicked Hangeng out of the kitchen so the decoration would be a surprise. There were a couple times Hangeng heard a weird noise and wanted to investigate but didn’t want to make the older made, so he just impatiently waited in the living room for the other to finish. After the dreaded wait, Heechul emerged from the kitchen, cake in hand, and let the other see.
"Happy birthday Heechul’s China man." Hangeng read the writing on the cake. "Still expressing how I’m yours, huh?"
"Well of course. You are mine, and I just want to make sure you remember that."
"Thank you Chulie."
"Here you two are." Donghae said from the doorway. "Oh you have another cake. Good, now we can throw cake in your face and eat some too."
"Uh, I think I’ve had enough cake on me today." Donghae looked over confused while Heechul just raised his eyebrow.
"No you haven’t. Come on let’s go down to the party." Heechul pulled both of them to the eleventh floor dorm where everyone else set up for the party. Everyone was glad they didn’t have schedules in the morning, since most of the members were drunk by the end of the night. They played various games and even went outside for a snowball fight before falling asleep on top of each other in the living room.

I was woken up from my daydreaming by a knock on the door. I assumed it was just my mother of some of my friends coming over to wish me a happy birthday but I was not definitely not expecting Heechul. There he was standing outside my apartment with a bag of groceries in one hand and his luggage bag hanging from his other shoulder.
"Hey happy birthday. I’m here for another baking lesson. Don’t worry I bought extra."
A/N: Last minute Hanchul fic for Hannie's birthday. ^^ Totally random and got the basic idea from a prompt my friend gave me, even though i didn't follow the prompt exactly. I miss these two so much. If only this actually happened.
