planted some seeds a week ago. i'm tryin to grow me some herbs. (i don't remember ever having grown anything before, although i'm sure i must have done so as a child.)

know what? messing around with wet soil is fun, as is making little flag-on-a-stick labels for my pots. and today my basil sprouted! :)

the water - she runs through the pipes and not down my walls, nor on my floors, thank fuk.

the pipes froze last night, and i live in the basement.

got my electronics off the floor and my rubber boots on...

today i learned the value of good wet-/cold-weather gear.

anyone who drops by nathan phillips square on new year's eve (or any time between now and then) may be interested to know that the roof structure alone took 21.5 hours to erect this year. 5hrs yesterday, and 16.5 hours today. in the freezing rain. then the regular rain. then the snow. does anyone know where i can buy plain black wrapping paper? i seem to be running low.

just checked lj for the first time in a couple of weeks. my computer is acting pretty broken and i haven't had the time/knowledge to figure out what's wrong. plus i'm workin lots and moving soon...
