I left everyone hanging about my landlord situation, so here is the short version of the story: I am moving out by January 16. The medium version is this: My landlord said my counterproposal was a joke and made me cry. it was great to see you. When I was talking to you and your mom about coming down (Chicago) to visit, I said "maybe next time we come you'll actually be home!". That was an inside joke because your parents are never in Chicago when we visit, but your mom didn't get it and I suppose the more obvious target of the comment would be you. I just had to clear that up.

It was great to see you and Amy as well. My mom and I discussed after the wedding how much we loved your best man speech. Anyway, I'll be in Chicago again briefly at the end of December for a high school friend's wedding, and after that...who knows. But I'll clear my schedule for Rushmore (the mountain, not the movie).
