So I had to go to the Emergency Room last night. I hate hospitals so much. But I really had to deal with the fact that I'd been throwing up for almost 24 hours, and I wasn't strong enough to walk without added support. Mark was there to hold my hand the entire time, which was so sweet of him. I must have looked like total crap. They had me out in ( Read more... )

I don't know. I'd been sick with various things for over a week... the hospital said, in their little diagnosis thing, that I was "nauseous and vomiting" (so no flu, no pregnancy). I think one thing led to another... I'm better, now. thanks for your concern, though.

umm... no? I didn't have the flu, so if it led to pregnancy, that was someone else. I was saying that I wasn't diagnosed with either the flu or being pregnant, and the only diagnosis they gave me was actually more of a prognosis. But I think you understood all that already.

Again. I am not pregnant.

i saw your post on austincommunity about horseback riding. i don't know what that one girl was talking about Switch Willo because I ride there and LOVE it. They're really good at what they do and have been around for a long time. She may have had an instructor that isn't there anymore (or may have misunderstood what they were asking of her.) White Fences is also nice, but I think they're more into dressage. I plan on adding dressage lessons there in January. Don't know anything about Cornerstone, but saw the # of ribbons they had at this weekend's show at the Expo Center, so they must know what they are doing...but don't know if they offer lessons because there's no contact info on the web!

Call Colleen and inquire about lessons at Switch Willo if you are still looking. 997-7779

Thanks... I actually haven't started riding again yet (i'm trying to get this contract job over with, which was supposed to end months ago), but I can't wait until I do... how much are the lessons at Switch Willo? Do they offer groups? Is it laid-back, or... show-driven? (If you know what I mean?) How many lesson horses do they have? What are the lesson horses like?

I really like it there. It's very laid back. They do have shows and participate in all of them, but there is absolutely no pressure to participate. In fact, they don't even mention it. It's on a bulliten board and you can go watch if you want, but no pressure. They board and offer private training i think, so those are the people that show the most. I just go for weekly group lessons on Wedneday nights. Its' $35 for a group of 5 or so. They have about 30 (?) lesson horses, divided in groups of Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. They're all very different despite being mostly quarter horses, so each make for a fun and different ride. They have a very strict policy about attendance though. After you've been there for a while, it may lighten up, but for the most part this is how it goes. You pay by the month and your first month includes a deposit of a full month. If you decide to quit, you give 30 days notice and just ride off your deposit. You are allowed to miss 1 lesson a month and have the opportunity to ( ... )
