Yo Seattle artistic types:

Does anybody know of a pottery studio in Seattle that would allow somebody to fire greenware? One of my coworkers made a chess set, and has been looking without luck for somewhere to fire the pieces. They are small, and not too bulky, so there should be no risk of exploding bits.

Have you checked at Seattle Pottery Supply? I'm pretty sure I've seen fliers up there announcing opportunities to bring pieces in to be fired. However, since I was there for blacksmithing/smelting materials, I didn't look too closely. They're a good place all around, and I'd expect them to know about such a thing if it exists.

Yes, Seattle Pottery Supply is the first place I thought of (figured they'd have already checked there). Even if they can't fire, I'm sure it's a good network point.

Or, you could bring them to Clarkston (packed unbearably carefully as greenware is so fragile) and I could easily run a bisque load while you're here. Price is right :-)
