Well... Mead is honey wine if you didn't know. Most the time, mead gets made with champagne yeast rather than wine yeast. Sometimes all the yeast isn't quite "dead" when it's bottled and because of that people may use champagne corks. This one had a regular cork and the bottle pressurized itself. I wasn't taking NO from the cork and the bottle said FU! It exploded, my wrist came down on a shard and the rest was history.
