Looks like I'll be putting the lights out

I have noticed a drop off of LJ posts. It's a shame, I really like Lj. It's cosy, personal, easy to defend:) And I've met a fair few of the people who are on it (I do not presume to call all here 'friends', as nice as that would be, 'twould be, er...presumptuous) But you know, it's mostly a nice little hang out. I love Twitter, it gets frustrating ( Read more... )

Well, we can sit here and chat, Ms Onionz. I shall be staying on LJ; just because one or two leave, we need not be sheep.

No, I'll keep it. I really like LJ, I've just created a facebook but I find it ugly and crammed with adverts and just a liddle bit (lot) crass. Twitter I likes. But LJ has proper warmth-which I know sounds a bit daft:)

Not daft at all - I agree with you. Apart from the Twitter bit - it drives me nuts when friends post for some reason, but I resort to it for motorsport gossip.

I love LJ, just regret I don't have much time to post anything here.

Yes, that's where I am too. And I belong to an LJ community which I don't see replicated anywhere else.

(Also I have a permanent account!)

I've got to admitt that facebook and twitter just don't appeal and I suspect them of being corporate scams to steal my consumer-soul. I don't seem to have time for anything at the moment, to be honest, but I do like reading other people's stuff now and again and I like reading yours. Plus you're one of the few people who ever comment on mine so it's be pretty lonely here without you.

I quit lj and came back because I don't get to see people very often in the real world so I guess I need this web-crack.

A good long while ago I taught myself basic html using tutorials on webmonkey, fer example http://www.webmonkey.com/2010/02/html_cheatsheet/ It's looking a whole lot slicker than it was a few years ago. I dunno if anyone can recommend something better, but I found their stuff really good.
