On Friday at 11:55 a.m. I turned in a petition that stated that I am running for the Presidency of Lovett College. The deadline was 12:00 p.m. About a week or so before this point I had made up my mind, or so I thought, to not run for President. nice lj entry....but i was wondering if even though you think it takes all of lovett to make lovett better could one part of lovett be making lovett worse?

That is a very interesting question.

I guess I would have to say yes, one part could be making Lovett worse, just as one part of someone's body could cause them to be ill, while the rest of the body is fine.

And, following that metaphor, one could clearly argue that you only treat the ailment, not the whole body. I mean, if you have a headache you don't put a cast on your leg.

But, rather than can one part of Lovett be causing the decline, the question is, is one small part of Lovett a detriment to the college as a whole?

intuitively i feel yes but i think another problem is that different individuals would name different parts...eaching think what the other concludes as detrimental is not...
me specifically, I honestly dont know which part....
