The saddest are, "It might have been,"
More sad are these we daily see:
"It is, but hadn't ought to be."

Hm.. I would think that it's more sad to hear 'it might have been', because that means that it never happened.

Ideally, well, I would love to say 'it is, and shall always be' :)
