honestly, i'm not sure where it came from. =P In my rendition, it's a caretaker who's trying to convince his ward (who loves him a big deal) that he has greener pastures to consider other than looking after her. He's torn between staying and leaving.
But the actual version is a gay man married to a woman and is explaining to her his struggles.
