I've always known that I would not be a drug addict. That my number of sexual partners would remain at or below three...including the one not by choice. I know I will finish my BA and probably earn my Master's degree in the future. I have always thought that I would grow up and have children. I agree with you that what your counselor said about you searching for someone who is damaged because you are damaged is BS. And it makes me mad for several reasons, mostly because I just don't think it's true. It makes it sound like you had a hand in putting yourself in this situation and you didn't. Plus, I don't think people are 'damaged.' We all get our hand in life and we play it as well as we can.
Anyway, I have to tell you that I really admire you. Always have, but I definitely have a lot of respect for how you are dealing with this.

You will be okay, and you're not alone. And you should rest assured that you will do wonderfully raising your boys - your qualities as a loving and kind person are a part of you no matter what happens.

Hey Robyn. I've never forgotten about you.

I try to look at your journal about once every few weeks at least, just to see how you are.

I'm sad to see about what you're going through...what you've been through. I didn't know about that.

A lot has changed in the last 7 years. I wish I could talk with you sometime.
