things are getting chalked off on my chore list- slowly but surely. I was in and out of the basement today and I think it is finally all cleaned up. Have to check in the a.m. to see what the carpet looks like after I shampooed it. Left the machine down there in case I have to go over it again. Anyway it should be o.k. for family to sleep down

Have you received any books yet? When I tried this before I only got 2 mailings. But the person I got it from received at least 1/2 the 36 possible.

I did it as a favor to my friend Carrie who just moved back from 3 yrs. in Africa. Told her there may not be much of a response. These kinds of things sort of died several years ago. But I told her I would try. I have not had any books yet but it is a bit early for mine to come. I haven't had a chance to ask Carrie yet. I know 1 person sent the letter back to me saying she would not be participating. I sent my 1 book off the next day to a Sr. Citizen in Taylors Falls but it was just across the river so I am sure she got it in 1-2 days. I will have to ask Carrie when I see her (should be in a day or two). To be on the safe side I did send out 8 letters instead of 6, hoping that at least a couple would participate. Not for me but for Carrie. She just took a class & got a couple of books on wild mushrooming. Went out and found some on her own property that were eatable and had them for supper last night

p.s. John can tell you how to get here. I am right on Wisconsin Hwy. 35, which goes thru downtown Osceola. I am 1 block past the Subway on the same side- big green house on the corner.
