I started a couple years ago taking a cue from Angelsmom and making sure I sought out Veterans of all ages and thanked them for their service. well, I called about 10:45 to see if they got my car done (parts were to come in last night, then they called and said this a.m.) Turns out the parts truck never arrived today so They now expect to get the stuff Monday. In the wee hours of Friday morning I woke up with what ever crud is going around. Came home from work early yesterday and fell asleep within 15 minutes. Woke up, tried some tomato soup and back to sleep again until this morning. Slept almost 14 hours. It helped ( Read more... )

I called my favorite handyman yesterday with an idea. Dave said he was coming over soon anyway to replace 1 shingle that came down when he took down the trees recently so no problem. I got a baby announcement today - weird - It was just a printed announcement saying a new hand in ours and the stats. no signature or anything - the return address is from my nephew and wife. just got home. Took a friend's 11 yr. old daughter to see the stage production of Arsenic and Old Lace. Wasn't sure if she would get the humor but I wanted her to see a professional play. aah life. Got all the equipment outside to work on putting plastic up on one of my windows. Well, really a half window. Inside was remodeled and there is no window there but the outside still has it.
