window goodbyes

when she looks out of the window and watches me drive out till the furthest corner her eyes can see past the wall,
i know it's because she loves me and treasures each of the last few moments im in sight.
though on her lips are instead  the words,
"i'm making sure you look out for the cars and switch on your lights"
