The story behind the naming of Liam Aurelius Schempp:
Liam is named after his Grandpa Schempp and his Great Grandpa (my mother's father), William. We didn't want two William Schempps so we never considered actually naming him William, but about a month ago a coworker said, "What about Liam" which is an Irish nickname for William and thus it went ( Read more... ) -

Liam Aurelius Schempp came into a world of screaming women and stoic men at 5:46 pm on July 28th, 2009 at 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20 inches in length.

Still hanging in there
No baby yet. The doctor says everything is progressing normally and it could be any time.
Last night was pretty miserable with contractions every 10-15 minutes, nausea, chills, and backaches from 9-1, but I am feeling fine today.
Mom and I are making the most of the time I have before the baby is born.

Harry Potter fan
LIttleschempp seemed to enjoy Harry Potter....or maybe he just enjoyed staying up late. Either way, he was wiggling throughout the movie except when Elizabeth's friend wanted to feel him move. He moved for Elizabeth, just not her friend ( Read more... ) -
It is official
I know I am technically 38 weeks and 6 days pregnant, but I think today I made it official when I ate an entire pint of Ben and Jerry's icecream for dinner. I have never been able to do that before, even in college. -

It is time for another picture. I am wearing the same outfit that I did at 13 weeks and 26 weeks to see the difference between the end of the first trimester, end of the second, and end of the third. I think he has dropped some recently. Oh and he must be growing hair now considering how much of mine he has taken. = )

Ian and I are officially done with our prenatal classes. The last one, Coping with Confidence, was last night. The main thing I learned was that my body is not happy with "role-playing" birth. I just got back from my school's end-of-the-year lunch. One of the math teachers is due a full month after me. Granted this is her second, but she is WAY bigger than I am.
