I've just seriously had someone on Facebook ask me why misogyny is a bigger problem than misandry.

I'm having one of those days where I wish the tech existed to reach into a computer screen and slap someone.

I could see where he was going; the dictionary definition of misogyny is hatred of women, SO THAT'S ALL IT IS, simple as that. Men have to be actively screaming at women or trying to murder them for misogyny to be real.

I know so many people who think this way. It's scary how insidious it is. A lot of men honestly think they're doing us a huge favor in making our decisions for us.

It's funny how our poor lady brains can't handle decision making but we seem to be much better at grasping the fact that words can have a more nuanced meaning than just what it says in the dictionary.

Urgh, yes. I'm so glad he's in that thread because when I get mouth-frothingly irate, I can remind myself that men like brother-bear do exist.
