I'm thinking of getting one myself when it warms up and I feel better. I'm tired of living alone and I need a reson to get up everyday. Probably in April if I mend by then. An adult dog from the ASPCA rerhaps or from a student who is moving.
Sounds like a great idea. I'm oft unwell and find that the dogs are wonderful companions. Emma, my older dog, just sticks to me like glue when I'm sick. And there's such comfort in that, it's so worth the work and effort because I not only have a fuzzy pal, I have a little friend and, she has a big friend in me.
I do hope you will get a dog one day, I think it will give you more than you expected and that you will give it the same in return.
