I don't know what it is lately, but I am beyond stressed. I almost left the house last night. Has to be a combination of things. Worrying about multiple hurricanes is definitely on the list. Lori is stressed about new scheduling conflicts with her job, which in turn causes me to share in her stress. My job is becoming less like family and more like ( Read more... )

The first year is bound to be tough. I think it is perfectly normal to feel resentful towards him when he is teething and complaining and all you want to do is sleep. I know it's not always possible but sometimes you really do have to walk away. Just leave the house, go outside and get away from it all for an hour or so. That's the only way to keep your sanity. And maybe a couple of nights each week, try and bring home dinner rather than cooking it. Then you have minimal clean up and more time to relax ( ... )

Lori is feeling stress much like mine, so leaving seems unfair. Bringing dinner home is an option, however, we are trying to budget and eat healthy. Bringing dinner home also requires more out of the way driving after work :( Consider me an eternal pessimist... or hopefully a temporary pessimist. I truly appreciate any and all advice so don't think I am trying to discredit your ideas ( ... )

my cousins used to break down and cry when anthony was going through the terible twos, almost every time i called the house, i'd ask for her, jokingly of course, and she said shauna's not here, she's ran away and left her son... we used to talk about it all the time... it'll pass, it's just an adjustment. i know i'll be going through the same thing some day :)

Hell, I spent an hour or two last night wishing I could just go live in a Buddhist monastary. Or that I could send Sioned to one. Joel pointed out that her and I have a huge communication problem. Quite often I simply don't understand what she is sayng, and she doesn't understand what I am saying. We need some sort of context filter between us. We end up sniping back and forth for an hour before we finally sort out what we meant in the first place. Arrggggg! I love her, but sometimes I wish she would just GO AWAY.

So, you're not alone.
