Then his father had tried to give him some sort of speech that Cameron blocked out immediately after it happened. It wasn't like this was his first date. Cameron had been to the house a hundred times but it was always for Ethan. Today is was for her.
Which was exactly why she was smiling like a damn idiot when she stepped out of her bedroom and into the living room to greet him. And he looked even cuter than before.
"Hey, sorry-" she said, "I didn't realize my mum stepped out or I would have been waiting-"

Leah was always pretty, but she was completely gorgeous in that moment, even as casual as she looked.
"I was kind of worried that I'd get questioned or something? Is that weird?"

It was mostly joking, but there was definitely seriousness in it. Though, in the last few weeks she had noticed a few stolen glances from him, a couple even causing him to lose whatever it was he was playing.
That had to mean something, right?
"But I guess we're both in the clear."
Good thing they got their insecurities right out on the table and out of the way. Great.
